Case example
The inspection department at a mid-sized manufacturing firm averaged 3
days to complete inspection on an average lot of parts. This was creating
a huge backlog of material waiting for inspection, as well as corresponding
delays on the production line. Using process analysis techniques, we identified
and eliminated bottlenecks and value-add processes to successfully reduce
the cycle time to two days. This resulted in reduced backlog, decreased
costs and improved material quality.
