    Does it seem that every project is destined to fail from the outset? Schedule delays, budget overruns and resource conflicts are just a few of the problems that can undermine a project’s success.

    We have found that projects falter or fail for one or more of the following reasons:

    • Poor planning - including inadequate definition of the project, poor definition of deliverables and unclear roles and responsibilities.
    • Lack of sponsorship – many projects are launched without a project champion being identified. A clearly defined project sponsor is essential for project success.
    • Poor communication – effective communication can prevent misunderstandings regarding schedules, roles and responsibilities and deliverables.

    At ProCompass, we work with organizations and project teams to develop and implement effective project management practices. To maximize the effectiveness of skill development and practice, we customize our program to coincide with a specific project or projects you have identified for the organization. Our program includes the following components:

    1. An initial meeting to identify the project and team, outline specific skill development needs and establish goals.
    2. A ½ day project sponsorship training session with senior management.
    3. Utilization of various work and behavior style tools to help develop the team.
    4. Skill development and mentoring during the project.
    5. Feedback to program participants.
